The 3 Questions:

What, Why & How?

What is a Home Bible Study?

Acts 8:30-31

30) And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Isaiah, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest? (31) And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him.

A Home Bible Study is a lesson or series of lessons designed to increase your biblical knowledge. Lessons are generally an hour long and can focus on specific topics or take a broad look through the Bible. A Bible Study can take place in many settings: in a home, at a library, at school or even during your lunch break.

Why do a Home Bible Study?

2 Timothy 2:15

Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

God’s plan can be made plain if you are interested in having a relationship with Him. The Bible Study can also give grounding if you are a new convert and add depth to basic Bible knowledge. Home Bible Studies are useful tools in learning the Word of God.

A Bible Study can help you understand what God requires of us and give you a greater understanding of the Bible. Many scriptures are put together in a clear and concise explanation of salvation. Another benefit of a Bible Study is the depth and breadth it adds to basic bible knowledge. Familiar Bible stories are given a historical perspective, prophetic place and are made spiritually applicable. You will grow in your relationship with God as your understanding is deepened.
